For me, reward charts are a parents best friend. I love them because they’re simple to use, and they pack a punch! When I use a reward chart with my daughter, I always get the desired outcome. That is, she is more motivated to do her daily tasks, and she does them without resistance. This is because she knows she will recieve a prize or a reward of her liking in the end.
What is a Reward Chart?
A reward chart is a visual tool used by parents (and teachers) to encourage positive behaviour in children. Generally, the way it works is, you set some goals for your daughter to achieve. This could be a set of daily or weekly chores or tasks. It could even be a certain type of behaviour that you want to see from her. Whenever she achieves her goals she recieves a reward or prize in the end.
Benefits of Reward Charts
Using a reward chart can benefit your daughter in many ways. Reward charts can:
- Encourages positive behaviour.
- Build her self-esteem and confidence (because she is achieving her goals and recieving praise and rewards).
